Seclusion and Serenity

Live amongst abundant native birdlife, lush surrounds, beautiful views and enjoy peace and serenity in a superb climate.

A north facing, secluded, comfortable and compact cottage home on one and a half acres, less than 3km to a delightful Village with all facilities and electric train.

Twenty minutes to the beautiful Sunshine Coast surfing beaches and the attractions and amenities of the coastal cities of Caloundra, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and a little further to Noosa. The Maleny/Montville hinterland is a similar 20 min. away.

The house consists of two bedrooms with built-ins and the large sunroom with own utility room, readily becomes a 3rd bedroom.
A modern bathroom, kitchen with pantry, gas hot water heater and kitchen appliances, mains electricity and broadband Internet. Air-conditioning is rev/cyc.split system and a cozy wood fired heater is a delight.

The open plan lounge and dining room lead on to a large tiled patio, which is screened full height, a delightful place. The patio is shaded in summer by grape vines on a trellis outside and is warmed in winter when the vines are bare.
Only a few steps then to the entertaining deck nestled amongst the trees, with views across the wooded valley. No visible neighbours, just private and tranquil. Always a cool summer breeze, yet protected from most winter winds.

The 2 bay carport with security lighting, has 9ft clearance to accommodate a caravan or motor home. A 5x4 m lockup work-shed has lots of storage shelves and is a good work area.

There is a tranquil meditation area around the native fishpond and for those interested, a Buddhist temple is a few km away.
We have a wide variety of around 50 established fruit and nut trees, citrus, tropicals and tasty exotic fruits needing very little maintenance. There are also productive herb and vegetable gardens.

Water has never been a problem as there is more than 110,000 litres of storage tanks and it is a good regular rainfall area.
Annual Council utilities and rates amount to $1068 pa including the kerbside rubbish and recycle bin service, rural fire levy, environment levy, etc. There are no other property taxes.

Wildlife is prolific in the area, surveys carried out by “Nature Search” identified some 22 mammal and 87 bird species as well as 178 native plant types. We are so blessed to have such an abundant ecology.

At an Elevation of 400ft above sea level, no worries here from rising sea levels.

We have loved our 16 years here, and seek someone else who will enjoy this magical place.

In summary…this is an elevated, north facing site of 6500m2 cut from a larger property, beautifully secluded, good views, and zoned rural though it is only 2 .86 km to the Village. It is a cozy cottage home with all the amenities for a peaceful and fulfilling lifestyle.
